The Morassi Quartet was formed in 2018 at the Royal College of Music by violinists Natasha Humphries and Katie Mazur, violist Toby Warr, and cellist Iza Stefańska. The quartet’s members have performed extensively abroad, including tours of France, Austria, Germany, Poland, Russia and China, as well as U.K. venues including the Royal Festival Hall, Snape Maltings, and Sage Gateshead.

The Morassi Quartet have been selected to perform in many concerts at the RCM, including the annual Chamber Music Festival, FestivALL, the Essential Bartók and Legacy of Vaughan Williams series. They have also performed in many classical music festivals across the U.K., most recently the Berkshire Chamber Music Festival and the Dartington Music Festival alongside the Brodsky Quartet.

The programme has yet to be finalised but will include a selection of pieces from the following:

  • Rachmaninov – two pieces for string quartet
  • Puccini Crisantemi
  • Haydn quartet Op. 76 No. 2
  • Mendelssohn quartet No. 6 in F minor Op. 80
  • Bacewicz quartet No. 4

The Morassi Quartet are grateful for the generous support from Talent Unlimited, Help Musicians, Stephen Bell Charitable Trust, Orpheus Scholarship, Audrey Piggott Award, and ABRSM Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Award.
