Who we are
Stockbridge Music is not-for-profit Association organising music concerts for which we sell tickets to the public. We are a community group which exists to brings high quality classical music to Stockbridge at affordable prices. Our contact details are given at the end of this Notice.
What personal data we collect
We collect and process the name, postal address and email address of people who buy tickets online for our concerts.
In addition the credit or debit card details of online purchasers will be collected by our merchant service provider Stripe whose data protection policy can be viewed at https://stripe.com/en-gb/legal/dpa . We are not able to view card details stored by Stripe, and we do not hold any financial data for our ticketholders.
We collect and process the name and email address of people who sign up for our email newsletter.
We collect certain technical data of visitors to our website such as IP address, type of device and browser software as described in our Cookie Policy below.
How we use your personal data
If you are a ticket purchaser we make use of your personal data to process the purchase transaction. This data is stored on our website where is is processed by our subcontractor Northerwood Systems Limited https://northerwood.co.uk/ and our payment processor Stripe https://stripe.com/.
If you filled out our Newsletter form on this website, your details are automatically submitted to a secure online database provided by a Newsletter campaign management service, currently Mailchimp (mailchimp.com). If you filled out a paper form, we will manually add your data to the online database and then destroy the paper form.
Your personal data will only be used to process your purchase or email you information about forthcoming events organised by us. We typically send around 10-15 such emails per year. You may unsubscribe from our list at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of our newsletters, or by contacting admin@stockbridgemusic.uk .
If you are on our newsletter list we make use of your personal data to send you information about future events. This data is processed by our newsletter service provider Mailchimp https://mailchimp.com/
Your data will only be used by Stockbridge Music, we do not pass your information on for use by any other third parties.
Basis for processing data and data retention period
Personal data for ticket holders is processed on the basis of contract, in order to perform our contract with you for the supply of a ticket we need to use your data in order to process the transaction and provide you with a ticket. We retain this data for up to 7 years in order to be able to provide data about our transactions if requested by government agencies such as HMRC.
In addition, if you buy a ticket we will use your data on the basis of legitimate interest to email you marketing information about future events. We consider that it is in your legitimate interest to know about future events similar to the one you attended. If you don’t wish your data to be used for this purpose you can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the link in the footer of the emails.
If you have signed up for our email newsletter list but have not yet bought a ticket, we will process your data on the basis of consent in order to email you marketing information about future events. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing using the link in the footer of the emails, or by contacting us using the details at the end of this Notice.
Contact forms
If you contact us via the website contact form, we will use your details to reply to your enquiry and to any subsequent responses from you. If you contact us via the contact form you will not be added to our mailing list unless you specifically ask to be added.
How to request a copy of your data held by us
You have the right to view your personal data held by us. You can contact us on web@stockbridgemusic.uk or use the postal address given below.
You have the right to request us to correct any errors in your data, to request erasure of your data or to object to our use of it. We will honour your request if we are using your data for marketing purposes, however we may need to legally retain some of it if it has been used in a financial transaction.
