Benjamin Goldscheider, Horn
In addition to bringing you perennial favourites, the outstanding reputation of Stockbridge Music enables us to attract rising star musicians with fast developing international reputations. Ben Goldscheider is one such musician.
Ben is a member of the Boulez Ensemble and Principal Horn of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. He holds a professorship at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp and serves as Artist in Association at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.
Born in 1997, Ben has given recitals at major concert halls across Europe, including the Concertgebouw, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Kölner Philharmonie, Musikverein, Pierre Boulez Saal, Southbank Centre, and Wigmore Hall. As a soloist, he has appeared with orchestras such as the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (BBC Proms).
